In Windows 8, a speed bump is the name of the small gap found between groups of tiles. As can be seen in the picture below, the vertical gap between the group of tiles is the speed bump. To create new speed bumps drag one of the tiles to a speed bump.

Snap

1. Ethernet protocol, additional information about SNAP can be found on the Ethernet definition.
2. Snap is a feature introduced in Microsoft Windows 7 that allows the user to view two windows side by side, without having to resize the window.
  • View two windows side-by-side using Smart Window.
3. In Microsoft Windows 8, a snapped app is any app that has been snapped to right or left-hand side of the screen. To snap an app in Windows 8 click the top of the app and drag it to the left or right-side of the screen.
4. Snap server is a server product now made by Quantum.

Power User Task Menu

The Power User Task Menu or Power User Menu is a feature introduced with Microsoft Windows 8 that gives a power user access to Windows features such as the Event Viewer, System Properties, Device Manager, Disk Management, Computer Management, Command Prompt, Task Manager, Control Panel, File Explorer, Run and the Desktop.
To open the Power User Task Menu move the mouse cursor to the very bottom left corner of the screen and right-click or press the Windows key + X on the keyboard. If done successfully, you should be shown the Power User Task Menu as shown in the picture below.
